“Standing With Chris”

COLUMBUS – Three local television stations will join forces Monday to remember former WBNS 10-TV meteorologist Chris Bradley, who died Dec. 5 after battling leukemia, and to raise awareness about the importance of bone marrow donation.

Partnering with “Be The Match,” 10-TV, NBC4 (WCMH-TV) and ABC6 (WSYX-TV) will air “Standing with Chris,” honoring Bradley who died at the age of 53 after a nearly two-year fight against acute myeloid leukemia, a particularly aggressive form of the disease which could be treated with bone marrow transplants.

“Standing With Chris” will air from 4:00-7:30 p.m. on NBC4 and from 5:00-7:30 p.m. on ABC6 and 10-TV.

“Chris Bradley was an inspiration to all of Central Ohio in sickness and in health. He and his family braved 21 months battling acute myeloid leukemia, a terribly aggressive illness. Yet his courageous journey has touched us all,” said John Cardenas, president and general manager of WBNS.

Viewers are invited to call in and speak with volunteers from Be The Match, the national bone marrow registry.
