COLUMBUS – Registration begins Monday for the Ohio’s latest vaccine incentive program.
Officials announced Friday that the state is doubling the amount of money it is committing to its Vax-2-School vaccine incentive program.
A total of $2 million in scholarships will be available to vaccinated Ohioans age 12-25 who register for the drawing beginning Monday, Department of Health director Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff and Ohio Lottery Commission director Pat McDonald announced Friday.
Up for grabs will be five $100,000 grand prize scholarships and 150 $10,000 scholarships, which can be used at colleges, technical or trade schools or career programs in the state, tripling the number of smaller scholarships announced initially.
Ohioans aged 12 to 25 can enter online at or by phone at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634)
The state hopes to expand the eligible age group to include children between 5 and 11 years of age when a vaccine is approved for use in younger kids, Vanderhoff said.
A deadline to enter and drawing dates have not yet been announced.
The program is being paid for with federal coronavirus relief funds.
