COLUMBUS – Groups supporting greater access for Americans with a hearing impairment will gather on the north side of the Statehouse this afternoon to raise awareness of their cause.
The DGM Ohio Rally for Equal Access, organized by the Ohio Association of the Deaf to support the Deaf Grassroots Movement, will take place Wed., May 4, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 p.m. on the North Plaza of the capitol building.
The association was founded in 1961 to promote educational opportunities, protect and enhance the rights and privileges of deaf, hearing-impaired and deaf-blind Ohioans to preserve their social and economic security.
