Statehouse tree lighting

COLUMBUS – The “people’s house” will be getting into the holiday spirit Thursday when the Ohio Statehouse tree is lit up in festive colors.

The Ohio Statehouse Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting
Thursday, Dec. 5, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free

Governor and First Lady Mike and Fran DeWine will welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus and will light the historically decorated Ohio Statehouse holiday tree during the ceremony in the Statehouse Atrium.

The festivities will continue with refreshments, arts and crafts activities, games and special performances by local choirs and dancers.

There will also be a free photo station available with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
