COLUMBUS – The Omaha Storm Chasers unleashed a tornado of runs as they beat the Clippers 13-6 Thursday night at Huntington Park.
Two-run base hits from Nolan Jones and Trenton Brooks helped the Clippers take a 6-5 lead after four innings.
But the Storm Chasers answered with eight runs in the final four innings.
Dairon Blanco set the pace for Omaha with a two-run home run and 4 RBI during a 5-for-6 night at the plate.
Ryan Weiss (2-1) got the benefit of the offensive cloudburst while Tanner Tully (8-5) took the loss for Columbus.
