COLUMBUS – Marcelo Martinez kept the Clippers off the scoreboard for more than six innings while Nick Dini and Ryan McBroom contributed two-run home runs as the Omaha Storm Chasers jumped out to a big lead and held off the Clippers to win, 7-4, at Huntington Park.
Martinez (2-3) struck out six hitters while giving up only one run in 6 1/3 innings.
Heath Fillmyer (1-5) gave up the homers to Dini and McBroom in the second and third innnings and Kyle Isbel’s two-run double in the fifth that put the game out of reach.
