Stripers 3, Clippers 1

COLUMBUS – Despite a post-All Star break swoon, the Clippers head to Indianapolis Monday for a two-game series holding onto a 7-game lead over the Indians in the International League West Division.

Columbus has lost 11 of its last 16 games, including a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the South Division-leading Gwinnett Stripers at Huntington Park Sunday night.

Bryse Wilson (6-7) kept Columbus off the scoreboard through seven innings.

Michael Peoples (7-5) allowed only five hits in eight innings but three of them were home runs.

Gwinnet took two games out of three from the Clippers, who have gone 2-8 against the other division leaders since July 15.
