Suspect in Columbus woman’s death arrested in Kansas

COLUMBUS – A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the murder of a West Side woman whose body was found in a wooded area of Delaware County Sunday, five days after she was reported missing.

Delaware County Sheriff Russell Martin says Justin Eastman was arrested by troopers with the Kansas State Highway Patrol near Lawrence at approximately 6:00 p.m. Monday night, some 30 hours after the discovery of Donna Harris’s body in Berlin Township.

Eastman, 34, is being held in the Douglas County Jail in Lawrence, Kan., charged with aggravated murder and Martin says additional charges will follow.

Ashley Quick, 32, was arrested at her home in Columbus by detectives with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Columbus Division of Police, Martin said.

She was charged with complicity to robbery but Martin says she also may face additional charges.

Family members reported Harris missing on Nov. 20 and her body was found Sunday morning in a rural area off of Sherman Road in Delaware County.

The investigation is continuing, Martin said.
