Suspect in NE Side murder still at large

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are looking for the man they say shot another man whose body was found in a vehicle on a South Linden street in October.

UPDATE: 12/5/22 8:14 a.m.: X’Zavier Hergins-Turns turned himself in at the Franklin County Jail on Dec. 2

X’Zavier Hergins-Turns (above) remains at large after being charged with murder on Tuesday in the death of 21-year-old Jerry Campbell III, whose body was found in a vehicle in the area of E. 19th Avenue and Gladstone Avenue on Oct. 30, Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Homicide Unit said.

Detectives have identified Hergins-Turns, 18, as the man witnesses said they saw fire a gun into the vehicle before fleeing on foot, Pilya said.
