COLUMBUS – Delaware County authorities are once against asking for help identifying a person suspected of stealing for elderly residents of an assisted-living facility last month.
Delaware County Sheriff Russell Martin says the thefts took place on Jan. 15 while the residents were in the dining hall.

Deputies were called to the facility and found that several apartments had been burglarized and that jewelry, cash, credit cards, drivers’ licenses and other personal documents were stolen.
The suspect dresses like a health care or social services worker but is not known to the staff at the facility, Martin says.
The suspect may be linked to a similar incident in Columbus, he said.
Previous requests for assistance did not produce any clues, martin said.
Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office at 740-833-2831.
