COLUMBUS, Ohio – Both the suspect and the alleged victim are in the hospital after a double shooting inside a Far East Side apartment Monday night.
Homicide detectives say Marquan Green told them he was arguing with Iyendai Brown in an upstairs bedroom of an apartment at 5454 Lonsdale Place North inside the Woodcrest Apartment complex when Brown pulled a gun and shot him. Green told police the two men struggled for the gun, which went off again, hitting Brown in the chest.
Officers responded to the reported shooting just before midnight when they found Green, 19, who was taken to the hospital. Friends drove Brown, 20, to the hospital where police say he was in critical condition and was charged with felonious assault.
