COLUMBUS – Detectives in Mansfield have been busy searching for new evidence in the case of a murdered woman since talking to suspected serial killer Shawn Grate.
Authorities have now officially re-opened their investigation into the 2015 death of Rebekah Leicy, according to a report by WBNS 10-TV.
Police visited downtown Mansfield after interviewing Grate, looking for evidence in Leicy’s death, the television station reported.
Leicy was reported missing in 2015 and her body was discovered in March 2015 miles away, dumped in a field in Ashland County.
Grate has already been linked to the deaths of four women in Ashland, Richland and Marion counties.
