He touched on a few developments he wanted to highlight, including the announcement made earlier in the day that Southwest would begin offering nonstop air service from Port Columbus to the San Francisco Bay Area via Oakland starting in August.
He also used the speech to announce that Rogue Fitness, a Columbus-based manufacturer of exercise equipment used by fans of the program known as Crossfit, plans to relocate build a 500,000-square-foot manufacturing headquarters and consolidate business activities near the intersection of Cleveland and E. 5th avenues and move their on the former Timken site.
Coleman announced last year that he would not seek a fifth term in office.
