COLUMBUS – A Columbus high school teacher was due to appear in court Thursday morning teacher to face a charge that he tried to arrange sex with a minor he contacted through an online advertisement.
Robert Pea, a teacher at Northland High School was in the Franklin County Jail after being arrested Wednesday morning by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.
Pea, 60, was charged with a felony count of compelling prostitution, according to the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and the Columbus Division of Police.
He allegedly contacted a victim through an online ad and engaged in sexual activity for hire.
Authorities say the arrest is part of an ongoing human trafficking investigation.
