Hours later, Newark detectives and Columbus SWAT personnel arrested Tyler Ocasio, 20, and Dustin Lehoe, 21, both of Newark, in connection with the fatal shooting of David Barcus on the city’s North Side early Saturday, Gliatta said.

David Barcus, 48, died at Licking Memorial Hospital after Gliatta says police found him suffering from a gunshot wound at 70 Cherry Street at approximately 2:48 a.m.

Surveillance video shows four people leaving the scene of the fatal shooting in a vehicle which detectives have identified. Gliatta did not say what role the video played in the arrests.

The Barcus slaying was one of two homicides under investigation in central Ohio.

Columbus police officers called to the parking lot outside Club Shon’teiras at 4212 Eastland Square Drive on the Southeast Side on a reported shooting at approximately 1:07 a.m. Saturday found Johnathan E. Smith, 31, lying in the lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, said Sgt. Jeff Strayer of the Homicide Unit.

Columbus fire personnel pronounced Smith dead at 2:03 a.m., Strayer said

Strayer says investigators determine that Smith was involved in a fight inside the club, which continued outside where someone shot Smith.
