COLUMBUS, Ohio – A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in the robbery and murder of a pizza delivery driver the night before Halowe’en.
Gang Unit officers arrested Diondre Jefferson Thursday on murder, robbery and kidnapping charges in the slaying of James Crabtree Jr., shot to death in the street in front of a home on N. Cassady Avenue on Oct. 29, according to homicide detectives.
Police say Crabtree, 45, had picked up an extra shift as a pizza delivery driver so he could take his five-year-old daughter trick-or-treating the following day and was making a delivery at the time of the shooting.
