COLUMBUS – A 17-year-old wanted for the fatal shooting of a man on the West Side a week ago was arrested in West Virginia Wednesday, according to Columbus police.
Michael Parker was arrested in Huntington, W. Va., on a charge of murder in connection with the shooting death of David Lee Bush III on March 21, detectives with the Homicide Unit said.
Bush, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene inside a home in the 100 block of Columbian Avenue, where he was found suffering from a gunshot wound, according to homicide investigators.
The investigation revealed that a juvenile, later identified as Parker, had fired the shot that killed Bush, police said.
This was the 23rd homicide of 2019 in Columbus.
The investigation continues.
