COLUMBUS, Ohio – A 16-year-old boy sought in connection with the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl on the Southeast Side last week.
Joseph Sesley’s mother brought him to police headquarters Monday where he was officially charged and arrested for the murder of Destinee Booker on Friday, Sgt. Steven Little said.
Officers checking out a reported shooting at 491 South Lane Avenue at approximately 10:00 a.m. found Destinee Booker, 14, lying on the front porch suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
She was taken to Grant Medical Center where she underwent emergency surgery but died on Sunday morning.
Sesley was identified by witnesses and the person who pulled the trigger that fired the fatal shot.
