The warrant for Sanchez was issued in connection with a shooting at a West Side apartment complex Tuesday night that left Jacob Todd dead and a second victim injured, detectives said.
Officers found Todd, 20, and Souleymane Gadio inside an apartment on Applefair Drive at approximately 8:40 p.m. Tuesday. Both were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Todd was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus paramedics while Prairie Township medics took Gadio, 21, to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
Jewell is a suspect in the shooting death of Enrique Forney Jr., 17, who was found shot in the area of Mallards Marsh and Avalon Avenue on the Northeast Side just before midnight Tuesday and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday, Homicide Unit Sgt. Dave Shimberg said.
The whereabouts of Sanchez and Jewell were still unknown Thursday morning and police said they should be considered armed and dangerous.
