COLUMBUS – Police say they have caught up with the remaining suspects in a deadly robbery-shooting outside a Northeast Side market in June.
Officers arrested Jebrelle McClendon, 17, and Taywaun Gavin, 16, in the 2000 block of Leonard Avenue Tuesday, Sgt. James Marable of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Both were wanted on aggravated murder charges in connection with the June 25 shooting death of Neal Smith and Marable says McClendon is facing additional charges.
Smith was shot after buying some items at a market in the 2000 block of Argyle Drive on June 25.
The suspects are believed to have seen him inside the store and shot him to death while holding him up at gunpoint after he left the store, Marable said.
A woman who was nearby was also shot during the incident.
