COLUMBUS – Two 15-year-old boys are recovering after being shot in a drive-by on the Northeast Side Thursday night.
Police say the boys told investigators they were standing in front of the Woodland Express Carryout, 1785 Woodland Avenue, at approximately 10:00 p.m. when they heard several gunshots and were struck by bullets before they could run inside the store for cover.
Both said they saw was a white car speeding down the street after hearing the gunshots, Det. Bob McCotter of the Felony Assault Unit said.
One of the teens was at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the back of his neck and the other was treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for a wound to his buttocks.
Both victims are in stable condition and expected to survive, McCotter said
