HOUSTON (AP) — Deshaun Watson threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns to become the first rookie in NFL history to have at least three TD passes in three straight games.
He helped give the Houston Texans a 33-17 win over the Browns. Watson has thrown 15 touchdown passes this season. It’s the most in NFL history by a rookie in a team’s first six games.
It also equals the number of TD throws Brock Osweiler had in 15 games last season.
Cleveland started a new quarterback on Sunday. The results were the same.
Kevin Hogan became the 28th different starter at quarterback for the Browns since 1999 after rookie DeShone Kizer was benched this week. But Hogan’s mistakes — three interceptions, including a pick-six — kept the Browns (0-6) winless.
