From Dec. 12 until Jan. 3, fans can cast their votes at the zoo’s website for one of four names — Darcy, Lizzie, Ellie or Kobie — inspired by Kathryn Elisabeth Anderson Koblentz, an active supporter of the zoo for 45 years, ever since she was a 25-year-old city budget analyst called on to prepare the zoo’s first budget in 1972.

Zoo visitors can also get a look at mom Phoebe and the female calf from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily located in the Zoo’s Vanishing Giants building

Phoebe’s calf is the first elephant born at the Columbus zoo in almost 10 years and the first ever to be born at the zoo as a result of artificial insemination.
