AKRON (AP) — Police in Akron say it was pretty easy to ID a robbery suspect.
They say it’s a woman who gave the store clerk her real phone number before robbing the place.
So they just traced the number and issued a warrant for her arrest.
A store employee says the woman walked into the store last Tuesday, shopped for a DVD, approached the checkout counter and gave her number to the employee to look up her account.
The employee says that’s when the woman put a note on the counter stating she had a gun.
Reports say she demanded money with her hand inside her sweatshirt as if she had a weapon, that the employee gave her an undisclosed amount, that she took it and left.
No one was hurt.
