Three arrested for attacking couple

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three men are behind bars after allegedly holding a man and woman captive in a West Side home, assaulting and robbing them Tuesday night.

Terrill Davis, 22 (above left), Charles Reed III, 23 (center) and Davonte Clark, 20 (right) have each been charged with two counts of robbery, kidnapping and rape, according to Columbus police.

The investigation began when police say a man and woman in their 40’s arrived at Mount Carmel West Hospital, claiming to have been sexually assaulted. Detectives say the man’s injuries were “seriuous.”

They led police to 125 N. Harris Avenue where they say the assault occurred, police said.

SWAT officers executed a search warrant at the address early Wednesday morning and arrested the three suspects, who were charged Wednesday afternoon, police said.

“Great teamwork by SWAT and the Sexual Assault Unit got the three suspects arrested without incident in what was a violent assault on two individuals,” said Sgt. Jeffrey Skinner.

Evidence was recovered at the scene, police said and the investigation by Sexual Assault Unit detectives continues.
