DETROIT (AP) — JaCoby Jones hit a go-ahead, two-run homer in the third inning and the Detroit Tigers held on to beat the Indians 2-1.

Blaine Hardy earned the win after he gave up a run over five innings.

Three relivers combined to pitch four innings of scoreless relief. Shane Greene retired the side in order in the ninth for his 21st save in 24 chances.

Mike Clevinger took the loss after allowing up two runs and struck out eight over five innings.
