COLUMBUS (AP) — The Portland Timbers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Crew at MAPFRE Stadium Saturday.
It was the first home loss for Columbus (4-3-1, 13 pts.) since June, 2018.
Larrys Mabiala and Jeremy Ebobisse scored in the first half.
Jorge Moreira also scored for the Timbers.
Columbus returns to MAPFRE Stadium to host D.C. United on Wednesday (7:30 p.m./SportsTime Ohio).
