COLUMBUS, Ohio – Local and federal authorities are asking the public for information about any of 15 deaths that have happened in central Ohio since 1998, all with “common threads.”
Columbus Police, the Franklin County Prosecutor and the U.S. Attorney have set up an anonymous tip-line at 614-849-1766.
“Information developed through an ongoing, year-long task force investigation suggests that the shootings may have some common threads,” U.S. Attorney Carter Stewart said.
Columbus police, Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott, Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, the FBI and the DEA combine resources during the investigation of the deaths, some of which have been ruled homicides or murder, that have happened between Jan. 12, 1998 and last July 4, Carter said.
The victims include 13 men and two women (see below).
