COLUMBUS – A 2-year-old girl was killed Sunday when she was run over by a car in the driveway of a home on the Northeast Side Sunday.
Mya Canfield was playing in the driveway of the home in the 2300 block of Howey Road at approximately 6:35 p.m. when Kentin Marcum pulled in, driving his Pontiac G6 with two juvenile passengers on board, running over the girl who was either sitting or lying down in the driveway, said Sgt. Brooke Wilson of the Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit.
The child was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Marcum, 52, cooperated with investigators at the scene and no charges were listed by police.
