COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police say two teens were trying to watch several younger children when one of the kids wandered off with tragic results Thursday night.

Patrol officers responding to a report of a missing toddler at a house on Golden Leaf Lane on the Southwest Side shortly before 7:00 p.m. found family members around the body of Jantis Canterberry, who had been found in the backyard pool.
The two-year-old boy died after he was taken to Mt. Carmel West Hospital.
Police say two teenagers were watching multiple children when they lost sight of the boy. They thought he had gone to the front of the house with one of his siblings.
No charges have been filed.
The investigation is ongoing.
