COLUMBUS, Ohio – Thanks to an upsurge in demand, Cheryl’s is expanding its cookie production facility in central Ohio and adding almost 100 jobs, according to the company.
The longtime Columbus-based company announced Monday it will double its production capacity at its Westerville facility by adding 42,000 square feet and 92 new jobs over the next three years.
Founded more than 30 years ago by Cheryl Krueger and her college roommate, the online mail-order bakery merged with 1-800-Flowers in 2005 and employs 160 people at its central Ohio facility.
Cheryl’s continues to operate retail stores, an e-commerce site and a catalog-driven business gift division from its headquarters in Westerville.
