COLUMBUS – More people died on Ohio’s roadways in 2015 than 2014, according to statistics released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The patrol reported 19 people died in accidents during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday periods, one more than last year, bringing the total number of confirmed traffic fatalities to 1,066. There were 36 “provisional” fatalities awaiting confirmation.
There were 1,007 people killed in traffic accidents in 2014.
