COLUMBUS, Ohio – An apparent drug-related robbery ended with two men dead inside a Northwest Side apartment Monday afternoon.
This was the most serious of four shooting incidents in Columbus on Monday.
Police say Lentwan Smith, 20, and an unidentified man tried to hold up the people who lived in the apartment at 2550 Farrel Drive just before 5:00 p.m. but the would-be victims told officers they pulled guns and the four shot it out, leaving Smith and the other man dead.
Detectives say their investigative package will be forwarded to the Franklin County Prosecutors office.
These are the 29th and 30th homicides of 2014 in Columbus.
