Two fatal shootings

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police were dealing with two murder mysteries Friday after one man’s body was found in a crashed car and another in a Southeast Side alley.

Officers responding to the report of a car accident in front of 76 E. 3rd Avenue shortly after 3:30 p.m. discovered that the victim, Tyrone Brandy, 29, had been shot inside the vehicle just before the accident, Sgt. Christ Holzhauser said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

These were the 46th and 47th homicides of 2014 in Columbus.
