COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police are looking for a person caught on security video just before a double shooting in the parking lot of a Southeast Side club early Monday.
Homicide detectives say Zachary Jenkins and Pierre Hines were shot in the parking lot of Blu’s Lounge and Grill, 6784 Refugee Road, and drove themselves to find help.
Jenkins, 23, arrived at the fire station at 3675 Gender Road at 12:43 a.m., and was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.
When detectives arrived at the hospital they found that Hines, 31, had driven himself directly to the hospital where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to his head, police said.
Jenkins and Hines are expected to survive, police said.
Investigators hope to question a “person of interest” who was spotted on video just prior to the shooting.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Columbus Police Assault Unit at 614-645-4141.
