COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police say they have no motive or any suspects in a double shooting on the Southeast Side Sunday morning that left a man dead.
Officers found Michael Cumberland, 39, shot to death around 11:30 a.m. Sunday on the front porch of a home at 1175 Berkeley Road, homicide detectives said.
A woman, whose identity was not released, was found inside the residence and taken to Grant Medical Center, where she underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical condition.
Police have no known suspects and are unsure of what motivated the attack. It was the city’s 55th homicide this year.
