UPPER ARLINGTON – The man charged with murder in Upper Arlington has turned himself in, according to police.
The Upper Arlington Police Department said Jeffrey Blaire Harrison came in to police on Wednesday, according to a report by WBNS 10-TV.
He was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Harrison is charged with murder in the death of Charles McCoy.
Authorities say McCoy was stabbed to death at the China Dynasty restaurant on West Lane Avenue on June 11.
Initially, police charged Jeffery Lamar Smith but those charges were dropped and police issued a statement:
“The Upper Arlington Police Division would like to thank Mr. Smith for his cooperation and understanding in this matter. The Upper Arlington Police Division would also like to apologize to Mr. Smith and his family.”
The murder was the first in Upper Arlington in a decade.
