COLUMBUS – UPS is planning to hire more than 100,000 workers ahead of its busy holiday shipping season and will be conducting interviews at nearly 200 job fairs nationwide, including three in central Ohio, on Friday.

Nationwide, UPS plans to interview 50,000 candidates for positions that pay anywhere from $15 to $30 an hour and offer pro-rated tuition reimbursement, said Danelle McCusker, vice president of human resources, who started out her career at the company as a seasonal worker.
More than a third of seasonal workers hired at UPS end up with permanent jobs after the holiday, McCusker said.
