ORIENT, Ohio – A Columbus man and two others charged with aggravated burglary and theft after the slaying of his grandfather are being held on $2 million bond each.
The three have not been charged in last week’s slaying of Thomas Whitson, 84, though more charges are expected, The Circleville Herald reported.
Two 17-year-old suspects in the case are expected to be arraigned next week in juvenile court.
Investigators say they’ve recovered several firearms that were missing from Whitson’s home in Orient when a neighbor found him dead Sunday. He was shot in the head.
The burglary suspects charged in Circleville Municipal Court are Whitson’s grandson, Shawn Lawson, 30, and Kyle Robinson, 20, both of Columbus, and Joshua Johnson, 20, of Grove City.
Court records list no attorneys for them.
