COLUMBUS – On the heels of Intel’s decision to build a major semiconductor plant in Licking County, drugmaker Pharmavite has announced plans to develop a $200 million manufacturing facility in New Albany.
The vitamin and supplement manufacturing company was awarded a nine-year tax credit to develop a new 200,000 to 250,000-square-foot facility that will employ 225 full-time employees in its initial phase, according to the office of Gov. Mike DeWine.
Pharmavite products under the brand names Nature Made, MegaFood, EQUELLE and Nurish.
Production on the facility is expected to start by the end of 2024.
The development is projected to generate $14.7 million in new annual payroll.
