TAMPA, Fla. – Kitija Laksa got hot early and led No. 22 South Florida to an 84-65 victory Sunday afternoon over Ohio State at the Sun Dome.
The loss snapped the 13th-ranked Buckeyes’ four-game winning streak and drops them to 20-6 on the season.
Stephanie Mavunga scored 28 points to go along with six rebounds and four blocks for OSU.
Point guard Kelsey Mitchell added 19 points while Sierra Calhoun was 3-of-6 from long range and finished with 11 points.
Laksa was the story of the day as she scored a career-high 41 points on 8-of-13 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc.
