WBK: Buckeyes exit Big Ten tourney in semis

INDIANAPOLIS – Ashley Morrissette had 24 points and seven assists as Purdue upset Number 9 Ohio State 71-60 Saturday to advance to the Big Ten Tournament championship game.

The Buckeyes struggled shooting the ball and Purdue took advantage, snapping the OSU’s 12-game win streak.

Kelsey Mitchell (above) was held under 10 points for just the second time in her career, finishing with nine points and two assists.

The Boilermakers (21-11) and the Buckeyes (26-6) were tied 11 times in the first half.

The Buckeyes will now wait their NCAA Tournament fate as Selection Monday is set for March 13.

The Boilermakers fell to fourth-ranked and second-seeded Maryland in the title game, 74-64.
