WBK: Bucks nip Gophers, advance to Big 10 title game

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — No. 13 Ohio State used a late run to edge fourth-seeded Minnesota 90-88 in a Big Ten Women’s Badketball Tournament semifinal game Saturday night.

Kelsey Mitchell scored 30 points, Stephanie Mavunga had 26 points, a Big Ten Conference Tournament record 21 rebounds and seven blocks for Ohio State.

The top-seeded Buckeyes didn’t secure a spot in the championship game until Carlie Wagner’s 12-foot jumper from the right of the lane bounced off the rim as time expired.

OSU will face Maryland in the championship game Sunday (7:00 p.m./ESPN2).

Brianna Fraser scored 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Eleanna Christinaki had 14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to help the No. 17 Terrapins beat Nebraska 66-53
