EAST LANSING, Mich. – Ohio State handed Michigan State its first loss at home this year with a 77-70 victory Thursday night.
All five Buckeye starters scored in double figures, led by freshman Janai Crooms, who scored 20 points and added seven rebounds.
Carmen Grande scored 10 of her 17 points in the fourth quarter and her three-pointer from the top of the key with 2:26 left gave the Buckeyes the lead for good and was her 1,000th career point.
Carly Santoro had 15 points, Aaliyah Patty finished with 13 and fellow post Dorka Juhasz scored 10 points.
Ohio State (13-12, 9-7) will be off this weekend before returning to action next Thursday when they travels to Wisconsin (9:00 p.m./BTN).
