WBK: OSU 78, Illinois 70

COLUMBUS – Makayla Waterman led four Buckeyes who scored in double figures as Ohio State downed Illinois 78-70 on Thursday evening.

The 78 points were a season-high for the Buckeyes (9-10, 5-5) used another fourth quarter run to turn a three-point deficit into an 11-point lead and held on down the stretch for its second win a row.

Waterman (#24) scored a career-high 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Carly Santoro scored 16 points and Carmen Grande posted 15, along with six rebounds, and Adreana Miller finished with a season-high 14 points.

The Buckeyes hit the road once again this weekend to take on Northwestern on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
