COLUMBUS – Police have named no suspects in a fatal shooting on the Hilltop Wednesday night.
Dameire Thornton was shot to death in the 300 block of Whitethorne Avenue, where he was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound at 10:52 p.m. by officers were called to investigate a report of shots fired, Sgt. Terry McConnell of the Columbus police Homicide Unit.
Thornton, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene, the 15th homicide victim of 2022 in Columbus, McConnell said.
