Westerville man gets 5 years for child porn

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Westerville man is off to prison for collecting child pornography.

Jason Grossman was sentenced in federal court yesterday to five years in prison yesterday for receiving child pornography.

Grossman, 31, pleaded guilty in August to one count of receiving child pornography after being arrested during an undercover Internet sting.

He confessed to using the Internet to download and view images of child pornography involving pubescent and prepubescent children.

He also admitted that police uncovered his activities after he communicated online with an undercover officer posing as the father of an 11-year-old girl who discussed engaging in various sex acts with the girl and showed up for a planned meeting with the undercover officer in Columbus, according to a release from the office of U.S. Attorney Carter Stewart.

Grossman was also ordered to serve five years under court supervision after his release and prosecutors say he will be required to register as a sex offender
