Win vaults Clippers to IL West lead

COLUMBUS – Tyler Holt’s RBI single in the eighth inning was the difference as the Clippers rallied for a 4-3 win over Indianapolis, taking sole possession of first place in the International League’s Western Division.

The win was the 10th straight at home for Columbus.

After the Indians tied the score at 3-3 in the seventh inning, Jose Ramirez took second base on a double play, then scored the winning run when Holt singled to left field.

Kyle Crockett (3-1) got the win in relief and Carlos Marmol retired the Indians in the ninth inning to get his fourth save of the season.

The third game of the four-game series is Wednesday night at Huntington Park.
