COLUMBUS – Police have arrested a woman in the death of a man at a Northeast Side motel in February but a teenage suspect connected to the incident remains at large.
Dashay Avery was arrested by SWAT officers at an area hotel on Tuesday on a charge of murder for her role in the Feb. 3 slaying of Jonathan Reddy at a motel in the 1000 block of E. Dublin-Granville Road, according to Sgt. James Marable of the homicide unit.
Detectives also charged 17-year-old Harrison Finklea with murder and aggravated robbery in connection with the incident.
Investigators say Reddy, 42, met Finklea at the motel and Finklea shot Reddy “after a short interaction,” then fled the scene on foot with the 24-year-old Avery, who was waiting nearby, Marable said.
