COLUMBUS – A road-rage incident on the West Side resulted in the 55th homicide of the year in Columbus.

Police officers responding to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of Harrisburg Pike at 6:52 p.m. Friday learned Makaela Ellis had been struck by a motor vehicle driven by Bria Henslee, Sgt. Terry McConnell of the Columbus Cold Case Unit said.
Ellis, 25, was pronounced dead at Grant Hospital and Henslee, 21, was charged with murder.
Police say the shooting happened after Ellis was struck by the vehicle and no one was injured. An unidentified man was charged with a weapons offense, McConnell said.
UPDATE 4/14/21 6:51 a.m.: Police have identified a man who was found dead inside a Linden apartment Saturday afternoon as Ticardo Lawayne Williams, 47.
Officers found the man when they went to check on the well-being of the resident of the apartment at 2853 Cleveland Avenue just after 3:30 Saturday afternoon, McConnell said.
The officers found the apartment open and the dead man inside.
McConnell says signs of foul play were evident and the death is being investigated as the 56th homicide of the year in Columbus.
